Join Professor Arthur Schafer for a conversation about performing “classic” operas and plays such as Carmen and The Merchant of Venice in a 21st century world with very different attitudes towards sexism and racism. Arthur Schafer is Professor of Philosophy at the University of Manitoba and Founding Director of the University’s Centre for Professional and Applied Ethics. He first fell in love with opera as a university student, listening to CBC radio’s “Saturday Afternoon at the Opera.” This is a ticketless event. Registered patrons will be on an attendance list. Please do not select "Mail Me My Tickets".
